Our next full moon, the Flower moon (or Corn moon) on Saturday 18th May falls under the emotional sign of  Scorpio. The Flower moon is a time when our wishes are blossoming all around, fertility and magic are still in the air. However, if don’t take time out to be still and enjoy smelling the flowers then you may experience feeling slightly discontent in some way, resulting in an urge to keep pushing towards attaining and achieving more within the external world. What is really happening here is your soul is now asking you for something more meaningful, your spirit is refusing to be pacified with anything superficial right now and is craving a deeper connection to life.

Astrological influences will enhance your ability to feel more deeply, your intuition increases to an all-time high. You are being called now to listen to that inner voice.

What is your soul asking for? What fills your emotional cup and what drains it? Be honest with yourself, clear our stagnation so that your blossoming wished don’t get strangled by the weeds.

Full Flower Moon Wishing Ritual

This is still a perfect time of the year to make wishes, here is a very simple kitchen witch magic ritual to perform under this full moon. It involves planting so you will need a few items in advance.

You will need:

Smudge stick / Palo Santo

A plant pot

Soil

Seeds*

Clear quartz crystal

Chalice or glass filled with spring water

Cloth, scarf or blanket (for extra zing use one covered in flowers if you have one)

*Feel free to grow peas or sweet veggies but I find that herbs are much easier to grow and tend to for busy women. Perfect herbs that add magic to wishes include: Bay, Basil or Peppermint.

How

On the night of the full moon, or a day either side, take your items outside.

Lay them out on a cloth, scarf or blanket

Sage down your aura and your items.

Holding the seeds in your hands think about your wish as if it was already manifest.

Now call to the Moon “Moon tonight shine your light, upon my wish in my sight, with these seeds I plant tonight, bless my dreams with all your might”.

Visualize the moonlight hitting the crown of your head, traveling down into your hands and infusing the seeds with a silvery magical glow.

Place some soil into the pot, planting the clear quartz at the bottom. Cover with soil about 1/3 way up then add your seeds, covering them with soil.

Hold the chalice of water up towards the sky in your left hand and visualize once more the moonlight pouring down, filling your water infusing it with magical blessings.

Water your seeds with half of the water and drink the rest stating “This wish is mine. thank you.”

Full Flower Moon Releasing Ritual

If this moon is calling you to release rather than draw in then here is an effective mini ritual to assist you in this healing process.

You Will Need:

A Bowl of spring water

Bay leaves

Salt (table or rock)

Pen

A black or dark blue cloth, tea towel, scarf, etc.

Sage or Palo Santo.

How

On the night of the full moon, or a day either side, take your items outside.

Lay them out on a cloth, scarf or blanket.

Sage down your aura and your items.

Taking the bay leaves write down a word of a sentence in relation to what you are ready to shed.

If you shed a few tears during this ritual, it’s better out than in.

Holding the bay leaves in cupped hands think about your problems that you wish to be resolved or concluded now.

Call to the Moon “Grandmother Moon, please heal these wounds, hold them in your silvery womb, I am ready to shed I am ready to release, with this offering please grant me peace”.

Feel the top of your head begin to tingle as powerful healing moonlight descends from the sky and enters your crown chakra calming and healing you as it flows down into your hands.

Now imagine the bay leaves in your hands become infused in the powerful glow of moonlight, becoming transformed and transmuted.

Take in a deep breath, really feel the sense of relief and you become unburdened from your worries.

Place the bay leaf (or leaves) into the bowl of water one by one stating “I wish you well” after each one.

Fill your left hand with salt and toss it into the bowl with the leaves and water, leaving them overnight.

Say “Thank you” to the moon.

The next day, drain the water from the bowl, carefully keeping the bay leaves.

Take an envelope and place the bay leaves inside, again add a little salt.

Seal up the envelope and hide it where it won’t be touched by anyone else.

On the next waning moon (around 26-30th May check with Google) dispose of your envelope in any way you wish (please consider the environment).

I hope you enjoy this month’s full moon magic, remember you can use these rituals any time you like, not just on the full moon.

The optimal time for making wishes it the New or Full Moon. The best time for shedding rituals is during the waning moon phase. Just use Google to find out when these dates are.

If you try any of these please let me know how it went. Feel free to share.

With thanks, love & Moonbeams, Claire xx
